PROJECT #2: A (RE)STAGED PHOTOGRAPH

For the second project participants were invited to create a staged photograph inspired by existing image(s). They were provided with a set of example images and prompts to explore ways in which a range of photographers have used existing images to inspire contemporary works. This included projects by Trish Morrissey, Joanna Piotrowska and Heather Agyepong. As well as being the photographer, participants were encouraged to become a director, costume designer, make-up artist and/or a performer. This was an opportunity to re-enact or re-imagine a picture from the past with a contemporary twist.
